Journey in Japan

Japan is where my journey stopped being just travel and became something deeper. The country greeted me with beauty, precision, and just enough confusion to keep me humble. Between trains that run like clockwork (even when I don’t), and the surreal moment of walking into a house I bought sight unseen, Japan has been a masterclass in transformation. These stories follow that unfolding — the cultural surprises, the quiet kindnesses, and the growing sense that Japan isn’t just another destination, but the start of a life I never expected to find.

Nowhere Special

A local train, a port town, and second breakfast. Sometimes, nowhere special is exactly the point.

Gone South

Preparing for winter. Saying goodbye quietly. Learning what living well actually takes.

Knocks on the Door

Sometimes, turning points don’t announce themselves. They quietly invite you over for dinner.
